Care, passion and restoration has brought a Stately home into a forward thinking private home with a large focus on well-being.

This truly is a unique property which allows guests to marvel at the history of the home and at the same time enjoy the facilities of this state-of-the-art Stately home.

What was once a family home, is now one of England’s grandest holiday homes and home to the the UK’s best private spa.

Stunning Manicured Gardens

The estate’s grand drawing rooms are adorned with works by the old masters and guilded chandeliers, while the orangerie is filled with the aroma of the storm lilies and antique roses. The library is packed with detailed family archives and antique books from generations past. The beauty of the estate extends not only to the hall itself, but also to its stunning manicured gardens and surrounding land.

For the more active guest, bicycle tracks have been created throughout the woods of the estate, and you’ll of course have access to the property’s heated outdoor swimming pool and tennis court. You can also benefit from access to Avalon, the estate’s exciting new wellbeing centre, complete with indoor pool, sauna, steam room, treatment rooms and yoga studios.

When To Visit

Year Round

The largest county in England attracts ramblers and tourists year round to enjoy the natural landscape and beauty which changes with each season.
Summers are usually mild with occasional rainfall, while end of Autumn and winters bring chillier and cloudier weather where you can expect early morning frosts and snow on the higher moors.
July and August are the warmest months; though the most magical of months is December where you can escape for a Christmas celebration hoping for that snow to fall.
